Fellow code hopper Reece Robinson is banking on Israel Folau being at his brilliant best as he eyes more tries in the NSW Waratahs' Super Rugby clash with the Western Force on Saturday.
In keeping with concussion protocols, Folau has been placed on a modified training program this week after suffering a heavy head knock in the Waratahs' loss to the Brumbies on Saturday.
The Waratahs are certain Folau will play and Robinson says he'll be sniffing around the attacking ace for offloads after finally opening his tryscoring account against the Brumbies.
It was Folau's quick hands in his first start at outside centre that helped release flanker Jed Holloway, who eventually put winger Robinson over.
"I reckon it's a good option (with Folau at 13). He's strong in defence and a good ball runner," Robinson said.
"So the more we can get the ball in his hand, it's going to be good for the team.
"Hopefully he pulls up okay."
After collecting 65 tries at a strike rate of better than one every two games in rugby league, Robinson admitted he "enjoyed every moment" of his maiden try in Super Rugby.
It took the former NRL star five games and a nervy juggle to break his duck.
"I was happy to finally cross the line. I thought they were definitely going to call it back. So I was happy in the end that they awarded it," Robinson said.
With midfield playmaker Kurtley Beale back from injury and starring in the loss to the Brumbies, Robinson is confident the Waratahs backline is about to click into top gear.
"It was probably our best performance on the weekend. Especially with KB coming back, he brings a lot of spark," he said.
"Everybody's getting a bit of confidence, especially from the way we performed on the weekend.
"It was disappointing that we lost but I think the boys are really gelling together so hopefully we can keep building on that and get a few more tries."
