Winning Warriors better after break: Bogut

They have the best record in the NBA and Aussie centre Andrew Bogut says his Warriors will be even better after the All-Star break.

Andrew Bogut scored a double-double as Golden State ended their four-game road trip with a 94-91 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The win also sent the Warriors into the All-Star break with the best record in the NBA at 42-9 after Atlanta blew a 15 point lead to lose 89-88 to the Celtics in Boston.

Evan Turner scoring the winning basket for the Celtics with a floater just two-tenths of a second before fulltime to send TD garden into raptures.

Back in Minnesota Bogut had 10 points and 10 rebounds in the win, while the Warriors were again led by guard Steph Curry who had 25 points on the night.

Bogut wasn't exactly happy with the performance but he is still marvelling at how the Warriors have played throughout the first half of the season.

"It wasn't pretty (against Minnesota) - it's been a pretty crappy finish to the pre-All Star break for us but we'll take the wins and I think the break is going to help everybody," Bogut said before gushing about that 42-9 record.

"It's a first for everyone in this locker room.

"It's been a great start ... if anybody said we were going to be in this position at the start of the season we would have said it was crazy."

Bogut wasn't the only Aussie with a win though as Aron Baynes and Patty Mills both enjoyed some significant minutes as the Spurs produced a dominant win over the Detroit Pistons.

Mills was good for seven points off the bench but it was Baynes, again starting at centre, who really impressed with 12 points on six of eight shooting.

In Cleveland Matthew Dellavedova, who is bound for the All Star weekend as part of the Rising Stars Challenge, also enjoyed a win.

The Aussie guard giving off five assists as the Cavs and LeBron James managed to obliterate James' hapless former team Miami 113-93.

Cleveland dominated the game from start to finish and the King chimed in with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds to head into the All Star game in good form.

The win also lifted Cleveland to fourth place in the east above Washington, who lost 95-93 to Toronto.

The Cavs are now 10 games behind first-placed Atlanta.

The only Aussie who didn't enjoy a winning day was Dante Exum as the Utah Jazz once again lost to a Western conference compatriot in the Dallas Mavericks.

The Jazz actually cut the lead to one thanks to a Gordon Hayward breakaway with 12 seconds to go, but they couldn't get any closer, eventually losing 87-82.

Exum with a nightmare evening on offense, scoring just two points on one of eight shooting.

Indiana continued their charge with a 106-93 win over New Orleans, who were again without star guard Anthony Davis, who has since pulled out of the All Star game with his shoulder injury.

In other matches Orlando beat New York 89-83, Milwaukee defeated Sacramento 111-103, Portland downed the Lakers 102-86 and the LA Clippers got back on track with a 110-95 win over the Houston Rockets in a game where DeAndre Jordan starred with 24 points and 20 rebounds.
