Beware the perils of over-zealous desk decorating.

A 24-year-old woman from the US state of Ohio has been arrested for trashing her boss’s desk with glitter.

Samantha Lockhart also allegedly smashed personal photos and sprayed Silly String while her supervisor was absent from the office.

Police say the act of glitter-rage ruined two desk-top computers, a scanner and a printer.

No motive was given for the act, however, the sparkly substance has become an increasingly popular tool for pranksters and those seeking vengeance.

Australian Mathew Carpenter was reportedly forced to sell his hobby website, shipyourenemiesglitter.com, this month, saying he could no longer keep up with soaring demand.
