Woman bites NSW policeman on leg

Police intervened to help security guards evict a woman from a NSW hotel, and she allegedly bit an officer on the leg.

A woman bit a policeman after fighting with security guards who evicted her from a NSW hotel, police say.

Officers were on patrol in Dean Street, Albury, just before 2am when they saw the guards struggling to evict the woman.

"They intervened and police will allege the woman bit a police officer on his leg as they tried to handcuff her," according to a NSW Police statement.

The bite broke the skin.

The 34-year-old Corowa woman was charged with assaulting police, resisting police and offensive language.

She was granted conditional bail to appear in Albury Local Court on April 7.
