Woman charged over Gold Coast stabbing

A woman has been charged over an attack in which a 52-year-old woman was stabbed in the lower body following an argument.

A 27-year-old woman has been charged with stabbing another woman after an argument on the Gold Coast.

The stoush broke out on the front yard of a home in Oxenford on Saturday afternoon before the 52-year-old woman was stabbed in the lower body.

Queensland police say she was taken to Allamanda Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the younger woman was charged with wounding and will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on March 7.
