A woman is in a critical condition in hospital and a man has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm following an altercation in Queensland's Moreton Bay region.
Shortly before 3am on Saturday officers responded to a disturbance at a Kallangur address where it's alleged a man struck a woman to the head.
The man and woman are known to each other, police said.
The 23-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Brisbane hospital in a critical condition.
An 18-year-old man has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and is due to appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates court on July 6.
