A 44-year-old woman has died after her ute and a truck collided in an accident in Mulwala in the state's south.

A 44-year-old woman has died after a her ute and a truck collided in the state's south.

Emergency services were called to the accident in Mulwala, near Corowa, about 3pm on Wednesday, police say.

The woman, the sole occupant of the ute, was freed from her vehicle but died on the way to hospital.

The 35-year-old male truck driver was uninjured but was taken to hospital to undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
