A woman has been charged with drink-driving after getting trapped in flood waters in the NSW Illawarra region.

Police say the 33-year-old woman ignored road closure warnings and drove through Albion Park about 5am on Sunday, where she had to be rescued from flood waters at Taylor Road.

She allegedly recorded a breath analysis of 0.076, was charged with low-range drink-driving and will face Port Kembla Local Court on July 6.
