Woman falls down cliff northwest of Sydney

A woman who fell down a cliff northwest of Sydney is in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

A woman who fell six metres down a cliff northwest of Sydney has been pulled to safety by rescue workers and taken to hospital.

Police say the 52-year-old bushwalker was camping near Colo Heights and fell down the cliff on Saturday evening.

She was rescued by SES volunteers and treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital, where she was reported to be in a critical but stable condition early on Sunday.
