Woman hit with mallet in Sydney robbery

A Sydney woman has suffered a minor facial injury after being hit with a mallet by two men robbing a KFC outlet in the city's west.

A woman has been hit in the face with a mallet during a robbery at a KFC in Sydney.

Two men, one armed with the mallet, demanded money from the woman at the fast food restaurant in Banks Drive, St Clair on Saturday night.

Police have released CCTV footage of the men, who fled empty handed, while the woman was taken to Nepean Hospital and treated for a minor injury to her forehead.
