Woman impaled by catfish in north Qld

A woman has been taken to hospital after a catfish fin became stuck in her thigh in remote Queensland.

A woman has been taken to hospital in remote Queensland after being impaled by a catfish.

The woman in her 30s was reportedly fishing from a bridge at Landsborough Street in Normanton about 9.25pm on Monday when the catfish fin became stuck in her thigh.

She was transported to Normanton Hospital in a stable condition.
