Woman killed by train in Adelaide's west

A 49-year-old from Adelaide's western suburbs has been hit and killed by a train near the intersection of Coglin and First streets at Brompton.

A woman hit and killed by a train in Adelaide has been identified as a 49-year-old from the city's western suburbs.

The woman was hit near the intersection of Coglin and First streets at Brompton at 7.20am on Monday.

The train line was closed for several hours while investigations were conducted, causing significant disruptions for morning commuters, but there are no suspicious circumstances.
