Woman missing at falls in far north Qld

Police and SES volunteers are searching for a woman reported missing near Josephine Falls in far north Queensland.

A woman has disappeared while visiting a popular swimming spot in far north Queensland.

The 30-year-old woman became separated from friends at Josephine Falls near Innisfail on Sunday morning.

They raised the alarm around 3pm when she hadn't returned to the car.

Police and State Emergency Services volunteers are searching the area.

The woman is described as Caucasian, 175cm tall, with a heavy build and dark brown hair.
