Woman racially attacked on Melbourne train

A woman has been racially abused on a train in Melbourne and police have released an image of the man that may be responsible.

A woman has been threatened and racially abused on a Melbourne train.

The 26-year-old was travelling on the train when she was threatened and racially vilified by a man between North Melbourne and Footscray stations on Wednesday afternoon, police say.

The man left the train at Footscray and police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
