A woman dragged to safety from a burning townhouse on Brisbane's north side remains in a critical condition after suffering burns to half of her body.

The woman, in her 40s, was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital after she was rescued by firefighters from the blazing Nundah property about 11pm on Sunday.

Police say the blaze is being treated as suspicious and forensic inspectors are working to determine its cause.

Two men managed to escape from the home.

One suffered minor burns and smoke inhalation and was also taken to hospital. The other was treated at the scene.

Paramedics said they found one of the men in the street, who told them the woman was still inside.

Firefighters dragged her out but not before she'd suffered partial and moderate thickness burns to 50 per cent of her body.
