A woman will be extradited to Queensland to face charges over the death of a Brisbane referee whose body was found with a single gunshot wound to the head.
Susan Ellen Stewart, 45, from Helensvale on the Gold Coast, was arrested on Friday at a brothel in Brookvale in Sydney's north.
She faced Sydney's Central Local Court on Monday, where Queensland detectives successfully applied for her extradition to face murder charges over the killing of Tony McGrath, whose body was found under his home.
Mr McGrath was appointed president of the Brisbane Rugby Leagues Referees Association shortly before his death.
Police said it was difficult tracking leads in the murder of Mr McGrath as he was a loner.
He was found in his Woolloongabba home in May and, after nine months of inquiries, a 43-year-old Coolangatta man was arrested on Wednesday.
The man was charged with several offences including murder, armed robbery, attempted murder or alternatively grievous bodily harm and arson.
Detectives are also speaking to several people after raiding a home at Terranora, near the NSW-Queensland border.
