Woman's guilty plea to crime spree

A woman who went on a crime spree in Sydney with her boyfriend - robbing a cinema and hotel - has pleaded guilty.

A Sydney woman who mounted an armed robbery of a cinema and hotel with her boyfriend, later told a custody officer that she was going to get her partner-in-crime to "rape his wife".

The details of Amanda Ridden's crime spree in Sydney were revealed on Tuesday after she pleaded guilty to a raft of offences at Sydney's District Court.

Court documents state the 22-year-old along with her then boyfriend, who cannot be named, discussed "doing a job" because they needed money.

After ringing around and organising back up, Ridden, her boyfriend and two other men entered Roseville cinema on September 23, 2013.

The men were armed with a sawn off shotgun and axe.

Their faces covered with jumpers and t-shirts, they demanded Michael Sheppard who was working at the Candy bar to hand over the money.

Mr Sheppard told them to "f*** off", while he triggered the silent alarm, prompting one of the robbers to ask him "Do you want to die?", court facts state.

Shortly after they fled, having managing to wrangle only one wallet off cinemagoers and $506 from the till.

Undeterred, they stormed Revesby Pacific Hotel more than an hour later.

This time Ridden was armed with a walking stick, while the men still had the shotgun and axe.

Here the manager handed over $3,873 and five packs of cigarettes.

The following day, on September 24 police were called to McDonald's at Kirrawee in Sydney's south due to Ridden's boyfriend causing a scene.

Court documents state Ridden's boyfriend was heavily affected by drugs and began assaulting police.

Meanwhile, Ridden began abusing them, kicking one officer twice in the face, before spitting and biting down on his finger with "extreme force", court documents state.

When the pair were finally in custody, Ridden continue to yell at police, saying to her boyfriend "Don't tell them your name babe. If they come near you, bash them."

Then after kicking and scratching a custody officer, she said "f*** you, I am going to find out where you live and get (my boyfriend) to rape your wife."

She has pleaded guilty to a litany of offences, including two counts of robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon and is due to be sentenced on September 25.
