Workers compo down in Victorian schools

Compensation claims by special school staff are on the rise while public school staff claims have fallen, a Victorian government report has revealed.

Workers' compensation claims by staff at Victorian special schools are on the rise.

Figures have steadily crept up over the last four years peaking at 168 last financial year, a report from the Victorian Attorney-General's office has found.

By comparison claims from public school staff dropped to 307 last financial year, from 316 the year before.
