WASHINGTON — A Washington Post Food article about North Carolina barbecue incorrectly said that Sir Walter Raleigh brought sows to Jamestown in 1607. Although pigs did arrive with settlers, Raleigh was not involved. The article also referred to a ketchup "dip" in the Piedmont style, but ketchup is just one ingredient, and the dip is not based on that condiment.
