Carlton defender Chris Yarran has left the door ajar for a return to the Blues next AFL season.
Yarran, after spending time in the VFL this year despite Carlton's onfield woes, is widely tipped to be traded with one year left on his contract.
The rebuilding Blues are intent on stockpiling early picks at this year's draft and Yarran does have value in the trade market despite his season to forget.
Key defender Lachie Henderson has already left the club but Yarran isn't so sure he's about to follow him out the door just yet.
"I'm contracted for next year so we've just got to wait and see," Yarran told the Nine Network on Wednesday.
"I'd like to (stay). Obviously, I committed last year for two years.
"I'm happy at the club so, if they want me around, then I'll be more than happy (to)."
Yarran, who won't play in the Blues' last game of the season due to a hamstring strain, has been linked to a move to Richmond, while Henderson is tipped to seek a trade to Geelong.
Utility Andrejs Everitt will definitely be at Carlton next year, with the former Western Bulldog triggering an extension clause in his contract that will tie him to the Blues for 2016.
