Yates still leads Tour of Turkey cycling

GreenEDGE cyclist Adam Yates takes a one-second lead into the last stage of the Tour of Turkey as the Australian outfit strives for a second win in a week.

Australia's GreenEDGE cycling outfit is poised for a second major victory with British rider Adam Yates retaining his one-second lead in the Tour of Turkey with one stage to go.

Victorian Simon Gerrans won the prestigious Liege-Bastogne-Liege one-day classic for the team last Sunday and another GreenEDGE rider, Switzerland's Michael Albasini, won the first two stages of the Tour of Romandie this week.

In Turkey, Italian Ella Viviani picked up his second stage victory in three days in the Tour when he won Saturday's sprint finish to the seventh and penultimate stage.

Viviani finished the 136km ride from Kusudasi to Izmir ahead of compatriot and Cannondale teammate Andrea Guardini and Britain's Mark Cavendish (Omega).

Yates, who took the leader's jersey after winning Friday's 183km sixth stage from Bodrum to Selcuk, remains just one second clear of Cofidis rider Rein Taaramae of Estonia.

Frenchman Romain Hardy is third overall, ahead of Italians Davide Formolo and Davide Rebellin.

The race ends on Sunday with a 121km ride around Istanbul.
