Young Magpie fined for betting on AFL

Brayden Sier's $5000 fine for betting on AFL matches has been suspended for two years.

Collingwood player Brayden Sier has fallen foul of the AFL's strict betting rules.

The league fined the 20-year-old midfielder for placing a number of bets that totalled less than $50 on AFL matches and events - none involving the Magpies.

The AFL has decided to suspend the fine for two years, given the remorse Sier showed.
