Young people missing from vote roll

The Australian Electoral Commission is concerned many young people may miss out on voting at the July 2 election by not being enrolled.

Almost one in five eligible young people are not enrolled to vote, sparking concerns from the electoral commission.

The commission says 18 per cent of 18 to 24-year-olds are missing from the electoral roll, ahead of the July 2 federal election.

Enrolment details can be checked on the Australian Electoral Commission website www.aec.gov.au
