The Australian Youth Climate Coalition has called on Australia's politicians to increase the funding for renewable energy initiatives.
The call comes as the federal government announced plans to move to a floating carbon price a year earlier than planned.
The group bas been holding a three-day summit In Melbourne to launch a policy platform known as the Gen-Y Climate Manifesto.
National Co-Director Lucy Manne told Biwa Kwan the early introduction of the floating carbon price should not come at the cost of any funding for renewable energy policies.
