Yowie's chocolate characters will soon be on store shelves in Canada as the confectionary company expands into more markets.
The ASX-listed firm says its products will be distributed by Mondoux Confectionery to several Canadian retailers, following their successful launch in the US and relaunch in Australia.
Chief executive Mark Schuessler says the brand is hoping to expand further.
"Our launch into the Canadian market is an exciting step in our expansion outside of the US as the Yowie brand begins to grow into a global presence," he said.
"We are thrilled to have a strong distribution partner in Mondoux Confectionery and proud to share the product with new consumers."
Yowie chocolates returned to Australian shelves in February after its WA-based maker struck a key distribution deal.
The Yowie confectionary, originally launched in Australia and New Zealand in 1995 by Cadbury and Kidcorp, was one of the most popular sweets in Australia, selling 65 million units worth more than $100 million in sales in one year.
However, a disagreement between Cadbury and the Yowie creators over the rights led to the chocolates being pulled from production during the early 2000s.
The Yowie group secured the rights to the chocolates in 2012.
