Zimbabwe Cricket chairman Peter Chingoka has stepped down from his post after two decades at the helm.
The 60-year-old Chingoka tendered his resignation at the association's extraordinary general board meeting on Thursday.
He was the first black person to assume the role, having taken over from Dave Ellman-Brown in 1992, just before Zimbabwe attained Test status.
During his reign, Zimbabwe cricket moved from relative stability to a series of difficulties, with player strikes over non-payments.
Zimbabwe Cricket managing director Wilfred Mukondiwa confirmed Chingoka's resignation to AP on Thursday, with a formal announcement to come later.
