Mark Davis

Mark Davis talks about his time as one of Dateline's longest serving video journalists and his story that won a prestigious Gold Walkley Award.

Mark says for a journalist it's hard to get better than working on Dateline, which has seen him travel across the world to win a Logie and five Walkley Awards for his reporting.

His Gold Walkley winning story, Blood Money, revealed how Indonesian government ministers used international aid money to fund the 1999 campaign of terror in East Timor.

Mark recalls what was involved in his complicated investigation and his feelings when he was finally able to put his findings directly to the Indonesian Government.
And in Dateline's 30th anniversary special, Mark talks about some of his other memorable stories... The Condemned, which featured exclusive interviews with two of the Bali Nine.
Les Murray's Mission, where Mark travelled with SBS's Mr Football to try and find the people smuggler who helped him flee Hungary many years before.
And Life on the Line, the uplifting story of those beating Manila's traffic by driving DIY trolleys on the city's rail lines.
