Paul Murphy

Paul Murphy was Dateline's first host, presenting the series from its inception in 1984 until 1996.

During that time, he fronted hundreds of shows and conducted scores of interviews, later winning a Walkley Award for Most Outstanding Contribution to Journalism in 2000.
