30 Years of Dateline: Tony Jones

Dateline is marking its 30th anniversary with a series of online features - Tony Jones looks back at his time with the show and a memorable 1985 story from South Korea.

He remembers his time travelling to around 16 countries for Dateline, at a time when he was just starting out as a television foreign correspondent.

One of his most memorable stories was from South Korea, where despite the country's economic success, it was the violent reaction to student unrest and the harassment of labour leaders that he went to investigate.
