A man said to have acted as the lookout when two men exchanged a gun later used to kill NSW Police Force accountant Curtis Cheng has been found guilty of a terror-related charge.
Mustafa Dirani, 25, pleaded not guilty to conspiring with others in 2015 to do acts in preparation, or planning, for a terrorist act.

Mr Cheng was shot and killed on October 2 in 2015 by 15-year-old Farhad Jabar in Parramatta. The accountant was shot in the back of the head and died instantly as he left the Parramatta police headquarters.
The teen gunman was later shot dead after engaging in a gunfight with three special constables who responded to the gunshots.

The NSW Supreme Court jury at Dirani's retrial found him guilty on Thursday and Justice Peter Johnson adjourned the case to March 22.
A jury spent two days deliberating before handing down their verdict. They heard Dirani acted as a lookout and made sure Raban Alou was not overheard as he discussed the plot in Parramatta with other men.

On October 2, 2015 Alou gave Jabar the Smith & Wesson .38 revolver used in the Parramatta shooting.
Alou was jailed for a maximum of 44 years.
