Asylum seeker medical treatment bill passes despite unexpected hurdle

An amended bill making it easier for asylum seekers to be transferred to Australia for medical treatment has passed the Lower House and is set to return to the Senate. It's the first time since 1929 that a sitting government has lost a vote on key legislation in the Lower House.
