INTERVIEW: How is the social media ban working and is it an effective measure?

It's been just over a month since the government enacted its world-first social media ban for those aged under 16 years old. The government says they have deactivated, removed or restricted 4.7 million accounts so far. But what does this figure mean, and is an outright ban the most effective method for mitigating young people's exposure to harmful content online?
