Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has joined protesters in a Labour Day rally in Brisbane.
Thousands of people have marched through the Queensland capital alongside Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk for the state’s Labour Day celebrations.
The Prime Minister says the day is in honour of working people struggling to achieve decent wages and conditions.
Mr Albanese has also outlined the support struggling workers can expect from the upcoming federal budget.
"In the budget, which is just eight sleeps away, what you'll see is cost of living support for people under pressure. What you'll see is that we provide support for new industries and new jobs, as well as making sure that we look after working people."

The federal government will review Australia's road and rail infrastructure program.
Infrastructure Minister Catherine King has announced the 90-day review by an expert panel.
Ms King says the previous federal government has left a mess when it comes to infrastructure, with projects that have been announced, but are unable to be delivered.
The review will not examine projects already under construction, or infrastructure promises made by the federal government in the election campaign.
Infrastructure Australia estimates there is a shortage of 95,000 workers on infrastructure projects across the country.
