[[Deputy Opposition Leader Sussan Ley says the Prime Minister has serious questions to answer over how much his senior ministers knew about the Brittany Higgins rape allegations before she went public.

Finance Minister Katy Gallagher has been accused of misleading parliament.

During a 2021 Senate Estimates Hearing, Ms Gallagher said she had no prior knowledge of Brittany Higgins's alleged assault.

But text messages published in The Australian newspaper between Ms Higgins and her fiancé appear to contradict Senator Gallagher's claims.

The Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister have defended Ms Gallagher.

Ms Ley says there are still important things to be clarified.

Investigators seized roughly 13,000 documents from Mr Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida last year.

One hundred were marked as classified.

Mr Trump has posted a video, claiming that he is innocent and calling the indictment a politically-motivated hoax.
