Social institutions in the firing line ahead of abuse Royal Commission's report

Some of Australia's major social institutions are under fire, just weeks before the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse hands down its findings. The chair of the Commission, Justice Peter McClellan, says there has been in the past a prevailing view that reporting of abuse would be detrimental to the entire community, especially if public figures were exposed as criminals.
