Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has met with Apple CEO Tim Cook at the tech giant's Silicon Valley headquarters, where he was shown the company's new parental control technology and praised for Australia's push to protect children online.
Media access to the visit was tightly controlled, with outlets not permitted to capture the faces of people inside, nor even any architectural designs of the building.
SBS World News Chief Political Correspondent Anna Henderson says she hasn't seen many environments quite like this one.
"I've been to the White House, I've been to lots of places around the world where you go to see governments close up. This is, I think, the most draconian in terms of expectations on the media and how we are going to display this area, so many restrictions on what we can show here at Apple in Cupertino."
This week, Mr Albanese will attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York where Australia is campaigning for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council, its digital safety agenda expected to feature prominently.

The federal Coalition has unveiled a plan to automatically halve fuel excise during major spikes in global oil prices.
Under its proposed Fuel Price Shield, the tax would be cut by about 27 cents a litre if Brent crude averages more than US$100 dollars a barrel for two weeks.
The Coalition estimates motorists would save about $15 dollars on a typical tank.
Opposition Leader Angus Taylor says Australians need protection from global oil shocks.
"This government promised that they had beaten inflation and high interest rates, and the government has been beaten by inflation and high interest rates. And fuel price shield is all about providing relief at the bowser when it really counts. So when we see two weeks where the price has averaged over $100 a barrel, which means we're getting up towards $3 a litre at the bowser."
Treasurer Jim Chalmers has rejected the Coalition's proposal, describing it as unfunded.
"He's come up with an uncapped, unfunded policy. You can't tell us how much it costs or how he'll pay for it. He can't tell us how many extra billions of dollars it would mean in bigger liberal deficits and more liberal debt."
The government temporarily halved fuel excise earlier this year as the Middle East war drove up prices.

Three women have died in separate incidents across New South Wales within hours of each other, including an elderly woman allegedly stabbed to death at Bondi Beach.
A 47-year-old man has been charged with murder after the woman, aged in her 90s, was found with stab wounds inside her unit on Saturday afternoon.
Police are also investigating the death of a woman in her 70s at Mole River in the state's north, where a 37-year-old man was arrested following an alleged domestic violence incident.
Earlier, a 23-year-old woman died after suffering critical stab wounds at a home in Wagga Wagga, with police continuing inquiries.
A 31-year-old man in custody.

Iran says it has sent the United States a list of conditions for restarting talks to end the war.
Iran's security chief Mohsen Rezaei says the conditions were conveyed through Qatar and Tehran, with Iran awaiting a response from President Donald Trump.
The demands include an end to fighting, the release of seized Iranian assets and an end to the US naval blockade of Iranian ports.

Israeli fire has killed at least four people in Gaza, including a 10-year-old girl and the son of a senior Gaza health official, according to health authorities.
The health ministry says Basir Al-Bursh, son of its director-general Munir al-Bursh, was killed in an airstrike on a camp for displaced people in Jabalia, while the young girl died from wounds sustained in central Gaza.
Two other Palestinians were killed and several wounded in separate strikes near Gaza City, as Israel continues military operations despite a US-brokered ceasefire agreed to last year.
Gaza health authorities say more than 1,300 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire took effect, while Israel says it will continue targeting Hamas until the group disarms.

Ed Sheeran says it's time to revealed his position on the Israel-Gaza war, describing the October 7 attacks on Israel as horrific and the war in Gaza as catastrophic, unjustifiable and disproportionate.
His comments came as protesters gathered outside his Philadelphia concert, chanting "Free Palestine" after rapper Macklemore was removed from the tour and several support acts withdrew in solidarity with Palestinians.
Sheeran has said the decision to drop Macklemore was made by the tour promoter and he never wanted his concerts to become a political forum.
The controversy has also hit ticket sales, with the cheapest resale tickets falling from about 170 Australian dollars earlier in the week to around 67 dollars on the day of the show.

The new NBL season has kicked off with a thriller, with the Adelaide 36ers holding on for a 97-95 win over Melbourne United.
United had three chances to level or win the game in the dying seconds, including a three-point attempt on the final buzzer, but couldn't convert.
Six-time league MVP Bryce Cotton led Adelaide with 29 points and seven assists, while Melbourne recruit Cole Anthony scored 30 points in an impressive debut.
Australian basketball veteran Joe Ingles also made his return to the NBL, scoring 12 points and adding seven assists.
It was Ingles' first game in the competition since 2009, after spending more than a decade playing in the NBA.
