US President Donald Trump says American military personnel killed in Jordan and Iraq are "great patriots", adding that overnight strikes on Iran are in their honour.
The latest casualty was a service member killed on Saturday in northern Iraq during a controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian attack drone.
The latest casualty announcements brought the total number of US military personnel killed since the war began to 17, with more than 420 others wounded.
President Trump says the war is having an impact on Iran.
"Iran has been very, very badly damaged. They've lost everything almost militarily. They've got very little left. They've got some missiles. They've got some drones. They've got some manufacturing ability; not much. We control the strait. They don't control anything. So we'll see what happens. But we hit them very hard again tonight. And we did that in honour of the, probably three – it's probably three, as opposed to two – great patriots.”

The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre says almost all people seeking asylum on Nauru are going hungry because they cannot afford enough food.
The people are living in the community while their claims are processed and receive a fortnightly allowance of $260 to cover basic needs.
The centre's report, Hungry for Freedom, is based on interviews with 78 people, funding 99 per cent did not have enough to eat.
Deputy Chief Executive Jana Favero says Australia is breaching the basic human rights of people sent to Nauru.
"People are going hungry. People are skipping meals people of are facing significant weight loss and it's having a direct impact on their mental and physical health – so it really is shocking findings and a rare insight into what is actually happening in a Nauru."
The Department of Home Affairs says people on Nauru have access to accommodation, healthcare and financial support, and that their payments are reviewed regularly.

Opposition Leader Angus Taylor says comments from One Nation Senator Malcolm Roberts show the party is not fit to govern.
He was asked about a post on X from Liberal senator Alex Antic, who defended Roberts, saying he's a "clear thinker and a very decent bloke".
Senator Roberts says American conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is a "beacon of hope" and has praised Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
Angus Taylor wouldn't say if he'd counselled Antic over his support, but he says his views are clear.
"Well I don't agree with those views and Malcolm Roberts has said some extraordinary things. He has said that the United States is the worst terrorist organisation in the world. Frankly these are things we obviously don't believe, they are wrong, and I'll continue to make the point that One Nation is not fit to govern."

Fans of Spain fans are celebrating the country's second ever World Cup win, downing Argentina one-nil.
Spain conceded only one goal the entire tournament and has an unbeaten streak of 37 international games.
Speaking to SBS News in New Jersey, these fans say they're overjoyed with the win.
"Congratulations! How does it feel to be world champions today?"
"Oh, I'm in ecstasy, this is phenomenal. I'm in heaven I can't describe it, to attend a world cup, I was born in Spain, to attend a world cup here in the US where I live now, I'm in heaven."

Meanwhile, French striker Kylian Mbappé has won the 2026 World Cup Golden Boot for being the record scorer across three World Cups, with ten goals in this tournament and 22 goals in total.
The 27-year-old – who scored a double at France's third-place playoff against England – has come out ahead of Argentina's captain Lionel Messi, who scored eight in this tournament and 21 goals total across six World Cups.
England midfielder Jude Bellingham and Norway striker Erling Haaland each scored seven times.
Mbappé, who made his World Cup debut in 2018 when France won the finals, also won the Golden Boot at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where France came second.
