Suli sent home from Bulldogs' NRL training

Moses Suli has reportedly been sent home from NRL club Canterbury due to disciplinary issues, two weeks after arriving from Wests Tigers.

Canterbury signing Moses Suli has reportedly been sent home from training after a number of disciplinary breaches since arriving at the NRL club.

Just two weeks after Suli was granted a shock release by the Wests Tigers due to a lack of professionalism, NRL.com is reporting the centre has already drawn the ire of coach Dean Pay.

It is believed the 19-year-old was twice given official warnings for tardiness at training and has been told to consider his long-term future.

Suli made headlines last year when he signed a three-year deal with the Tigers worth more than $1 million before making his first-grade debut.

An ankle injury limited his rookie campaign to 16 appearances and it is understood he has since struggled to deal with life as a professional athlete.

Wests Tigers boss Justin Pascoe said the club went to great lengths to help Suli on and off the field before eventually reaching a line-in-the-sand moment.

"I am sure If he's willing to take responsibility, be a team player and commit to the demands of being a professional athlete he has the potential to have a successful career in rugby league," Pascoe said last month.
