‘Very happy young girl’ Greta Thunberg claps back at Donald Trump’s Twitter diss

The Swedish teen and climate activist didn’t need a reply Tweet to have a dig at the US President.

If there's one thing the last few days of climate protests have shown us, it's that the teens of the world are a force to be reckoned with.

The School Strikes for Climate were a prime example; with thousands choosing to sacrifice a day of education to mobilise in the streets, demanding more action on global warming.

Now, Greta Thunberg - the teen who has become the face of the global movement - has taken on US President Donald Trump on what some would say is his (controversial) home turf: Twitter.

It all began a little earlier this week, when President Trump quote tweeted a video of the Swedish teen's impassioned speech at the United Nations Climate Summit.

"She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!" Trump wrote.
Despite Trump faithful supporting the jab, the tweet was largely met with criticism that a grown man was apparently 'mocking' a teen.

But Thunberg may have won the round - with a subtle Twitter bio update.

Overnight the teen replaced her profile description from "16 year old climate activist with Asperger's" with one line - that of the President's tweet.

Needless to say, the internet loved it.
Earlier today Fox News was forced to apologise after a conservative commentator called Thunberg 'mentally ill' while on air.

Guest Michael Knowles launched into an attack about the Climate Summit, during a segment that was intended to discuss people giving up meat.
