Victoria Police are asking for help from the public to identify a man involved in the assault of ‘Egg Boy’, Will Connolly.
A statement posted to the Victoria Police website is appealing for witnesses to the scuffle that broke out after the 17-year-old ‘egged’ Senator Fraser Anning.
Videos of the incident show Anning’s supporters roughly tackling Connolly to the ground and detaining him in a chokehold.
Another man then approached the teen and kicked him several times.
Authorities have released an image of a man they say may be able to help police with their investigations.
Police are urging anyone who recognises the man to come forward with information by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.

An investigation into the ‘initial incident’ is still ongoing.
Becoming ‘Egg Boy’
Connolly shot to internet fame last month when he cracked an egg on Anning’s head in protest to the senator's response to the Christchurch shootings.
He’s confirmed via his lawyer that he would not personally be pursuing charges against Anning, who swung twice at the teen, and his alleged attackers.
A GoFundMe created to raise money for Connolly’s legal fees and “more eggs” has reached over $80,000.
Connolly confirmed in an interview with The Project that he would donate most of the money to victims of the Christchurch attack.
