Federal government rejects Great Barrier Reef 'in danger'

The Federal Government has rejected a recommendation by the United Nations that the Great Barrier Reef be added to its 'in danger' list. The report found serious risks from climate change, coral bleaching, and water quality, are increasing threats to the World Heritage Site. It says Commonwealth and Queensland governments must take 'ambitious, rapid and sustainable action'.
