It looks like the Devil really does wear Prada.
Céline Dion's new line of gender-neutral children's clothing - Celinununu - has landed the icon in some hot holy water, with a priest claiming the clothes are "demonic".
Speaking to the National Catholic Register, Monsignor John Esseff, a priest with over 40 years of experience as an exorcist for the diocese of Scranton, Pennsylvania, took Dion to task over involvement in "the gender thing".
“The devil is going after children by confusing gender,” Esseff told the publication.
“When a child is born, what is the first thing we say about that child? It’s a boy, or it’s a girl. That is the most natural thing in the world to say. But to say that there is no difference is satanic.”
Dion recently partnered with kids clothing label Nununu to create Celinununu, an offshoot celebrating gender neutral clothing for children and young people.
According to its website: “Celinununu liberates children from the traditional roles of boy/girl and enables younger people to grow on values of equality with the freedom strengthen their own power of personality based on mutual respect.”
