Channelling Jason Mraz’s style of breezy contemporary pop, Austria’s Nathan Trent will take “Running on Air” to Kyiv in an attempt to replicate Zoë’s fine run at last year’s contest. Innsbruck-born Trent, who looks like Justin Timberlake’s younger brother, was internally selected by telecaster ORF after his tune “Like It Is” was spotted on YouTube.

“Running on Air” is an upbeat affair that encourages people to embrace the good and bad in life. It’s fun and chilled, and Trent has a great set of pipes. Expect some literal staging and cross your fingers for a fire-shower when he hits that big note post the refrain.

Young Trent will need to lace up, though, as he’ll be racing against fellow young cuties Brendan Murray from Ireland and Bulgarian teenager Kristian Kostov for a spot in the grand final.
