The artists of Eurovision 2017: Timebelle – “Apollo” (Switzerland)

There's no use staying neutral - this year's Swiss entry isn't likely to claim victory.

There have been more misses than hits in recent years for Switzerland - and three-piece Timebelle are hoping to put a bit more balance on their scorecard as they grace the Kyiv stage. Winners of the Swiss national selection competition, Timebelle are named after one of Bern’s most famous landmarks: a clocktower that supposedly assisted Albert Einstein crystallise his special theory of relativity.

Consisting of Romanian-born vocalist Miruna Manescu, and Swiss natives Emanuel Daniel Andriescu on piano and Samuel Forster on drums, the trio will perform power ballad “Apollo”. Can Timebelle reverse the clocks and find some of the winning formula of the past? Um, no. Although “Apollo” is a much better effort than the smoking mess the Swiss sent last year, this entry is not interesting enough to cut through against more fancied entries.
