Harmful is a new SBS podcast that shares real-life testimonies showing the deep impact that bullying has in our society. The series seeks answers to questions that some people carry for many years; ‘Why did I do that to them?’ ‘Why did you do that to me?’

Harmful will look at the devastating effects that bullying can have on the lives of those it impacts. Host Rae Johnstone asks what causes us to become bullies, and what it takes for victims to heal.

Over six episodes, you'll hear from people who are standing up against bullying in our schools, workplaces and online.

Specialists in mental health, behaviour and education provide insights on how we can better tackle this issue.

Victims and people who have been bullies will also share their personal testimonies in the hope that their stories can raise awareness, inspire conversation, and create change.

The first episode of Harmful launches on July 27. Listen to the trailer now.
Follow Harmful in the SBS radio app, at sbs.com.au/harmful, or in your favourite podcast app.

Harmful is hosted by Wiradjuri woman and Science and Technology journalist Rae Johnston, and produced by Maram Ismail from SBS Arabic24.
