Luke Nguyen lovers can enter to win one of three $100 vouchers to dine at his original Red Lantern restaurant in Darlinghurst, NSW.

At the age of 23, a fresh-faced Luke Nguyen fulfilled his dream of opening his first restaurant, Red Lantern, with his sister Pauline together with Mark Jensen. Nguyen is the author of four bestselling and award-winning cookbooks: Secrets of the Red Lantern, the Songs of Sapa, Indochine & Luke Nguyen’s Greater Mekong.

He is also the host of the popular SBS series' of his name, most recently, Luke Nguyen's Railway Vietnam. To celebrate the series, SBS Food is giving you the chance to taste some of Nguyen's signature creations at his Darlinghurst outpost.

About the series

After decades of conflict, Vietnam’s railway system was badly damaged, but was rebuilt post the Vietnam War. The Reunification Express railway line symbolises the coming together of the north and south of the country.

In this 10-part series, Luke visits ten locations from the spectacular coastline of Hoi An to the majestic mountains of Sapa. In his own engaging style, Luke cooks dishes incorporating some rather unusual ingredients to challenge the most adventurous palate.
