Adam Liaw, author and TV presenter is joined each night by two food-loving friends for a half hour of good fun and conversation as they cook up a variety of dishes centred around a nightly theme. Whether it’s an ingredient, a style of cuisine or cultural inspiration, Adam whips up his dish first before his guests follow suit with easy to follow recipes and tips for viewers to follow at home in time for dinner.
There will be celebrities, culture, food, and lots of laughs in a series that will provide everyday inspiration for foodies and non-foodies alike.

Host Adam Liaw is joined by food writer Tori Haschka and head chef at One & Only Wolgan Valley, James Viles, to whip up some dishes featuring a Middle Eastern favourite - labneh!
The roasted red grapes add a delightful sweetness that balances the labne. You can also swap them for cherries, or another stone fruit if needed. It makes a great brunch dish, or starter.
This labne creation could easily be served as a starter to a bigger spread, or for a lighter brekkie with freshly toasted Turkish bread and smoked salmon.

A comforting Lebanese stew with tender okra, juicy tomatoes, fresh coriander and cinnamon for spice.
Fatteh is a very popular peasant dish eaten all over Lebanon. It is traditionally prepared with bread, chickpeas, garlic-tahini-yoghurt sauce and fried pine nuts. However, over the centuries it has evolved to hero many ingredients such as eggplant, lamb and chicken to name a few.
Ma’anek are a traditional mezza served throughout Lebanon. They are quite small, pack a punch and are usually filled with beef and lamb, chilli and pine nuts in a sheep's casing. In Tripoli, the ma’anek are tossed in a pomegranate and garlic, lemon sauce and served with Lebanese bread to mop up the juices.

E-fu are Chinese egg noodles that are said to bring a long life to they who consume them, and thus they're a popular appearance at birthdays and celebrations.
Ginger shallot sauce or style is a very typical style in Cantonese cuisine. For a special occasion dinner, cooking seafood is very luxurious and special. Usually ginger and shallot is used to get rid of the unpleasant smell or taste from seafood or poultry. It also adds flavour but at the same time without overpowering the protein.

This recipe is as much about the versatility of plums as it is a crisp-skin fish cooking technique. If you don’t have a fish weight – we can use a pot to weigh the fish down and keep the skin flat on the pan.
If it's gorgeous colour you're after, this salad delivers. The juicy plums and crisp radicchio almost blend together, and the hazelnuts add a crunchy texture.

Fresh oysters bathed in a silken coconut cream and finger lime dressing with shredded coconut and makrut lime leaves topped with roe.
This salad has the sweetness of the fruit as well as the saltiness of the fish sauce with a pinch of palm sugar, finished off with some tamarind that gives it the sourness.

This is my go-to pasta dish when I can’t be bothered to cook, minimal mess, minimal effort but full of flavour and some green stuff in there too!

I’ve been experimenting with taking processed sugar out of some of my recipes and replacing it with more natural alternatives, such as honey and malt syrups. This is one of the recipes that adapted exceptionally well to honey, and I love the flavour the madeleines get from intense ones such as manuka and leatherwood.

I don’t know the exact origins of the kimchi cheese toast, but my inspiration came from Chef Roy Choi’s legendary Kogi BBQ Truck in LA where I had their kimchi cheese quesadilla and it blew my mind.
Turmeric gives this whole BBQ fish plenty of fragrance as it cooks, served with a spicy tomato sambal.
