Gérard Depardieu invites us to follow him across Europe in his ultimate culinary quest to discover the freshest oysters, the best matured cheese, plus wild salmon, tender beef, wine from a small grower and more. Joining him on the journey is chef Laurent Audiot - the pair have been friends for 20 years and have shared many culinary experiences together. Now they are on the road to find new adventures.

Brittany

Gérard and Laurent travel to Roscoff in Brittany to see lobster fishing, then they visit Eric Baron, an apple grower and cider producer. Their adventure also includes a visit to baker Michel Izard, where they discover how to make sailor's bread, and to Jean Perre Miossec, who makes as many as 2000 crepes a day in busy times of the year.  Finally, they meet their friend, the chef Patrick Jeffroy, in Carantec.

Scotland

Gerard Depardieu and Laurent Audiot take us to Scotland to meet Keith, breeder of cows, close to the island of St Kilda, then they taste huge langoustines in Elgol and arrive at the pub Eilean Larmain to discover some Scottish whiskey. Their journey ends in the house of the Scottish writer Philip Kerr.

Basque Country

In Basque Country, Gerard and Laurent start with Ossau Iraty cheese, than they catch some trout in Banka and taste the Kintoa ham. After, they head to Itxassou in order to discover the famous Espelette pepper, where Edouard Baer is waiting for them.

Naples

In Capaccio, our travellers learn how to make mozzarella. On the slopes of Vesuvius, Antonio Tubelli shows them the friarielli, the  cabbage of Campania, and finally in Naples they discover pasta that has been manufactured since the 17th Century.

Northern Italy

In Petroio, Gerard meets Franco Bardi, the producer of one of the finest olive oils in the world. Then he enjoys ham in Parma, and tries to cook some ravioli in Piedmont.

Catalonia

Gerard loves the Catalans. He discovers Prat chicken, snails, eels, and beautiful rice fields in the Ebro Delta. In a tapas bar in Barcelona, he meets filmmaker Isabel Coixet.

Ile de France

This is a surprising trip to the Paris region: beehives on the Opera of Paris' roof; Méréville - the capital of watercress; Milly-La-Forêt and its mint culture; the mushrooms grown by the Spineli family.  Gerard also reveals the origin of the Parisian baguette.

Portugal

The Portuguese journey starts in Porto at Bolhão Market: mackerels, sardines, cods, everything makes them happy. In Troia, on the sea coast, they speak of octopus fishing with Carlos Mota and hunt razor shell with Toni Viegas.

Fes

In this last episode, Gérard and Laurent cross the Mediterranean to immerse themselves in Moroccan cuisine and products. A few kilometres from Fes, they discover an orangery, spices, olives and famous Moroccan pigeons.
