New Sydney café D'Munchies does not sell any illicit substances, but there's no doubting their bizarre snack-food mash-ups will appeal to a certain demographic... perhaps one that identifies the green leaf on cafe's signage as a very particular type of... herb.
Social media has been ablaze with posts about the new café, which had announced it was opening at precisely 4.20pm on Thursday.
Chef and owner David Pyne has filled the menu with crazy mash-ups such as pepperoni-pizza-hot-dogs, and a DIY ice cream station where you can add toppings like Fruit Loops and lollies to your heart's content.
Pyne says the café, located in the popular bar-and-pub strip of King Street in Newtown, will have rather different offerings than the kebab shops that are popular with the area's late-night crowd.
He has made it clear that he wants D'Munchies to be a positive influence on the nightlife culture in the area.
In recent months, since lockout laws were installed in formerly popular nightspot Kings' Cross, Newtown bars have seen an increase in drunken violence.
Speaking to SBS Food, Pyne said he had been overwhelmed by media attention before the opening.
"I haven't really checked the Facebook today, but last night it was absolutely going crazy."
While it is not yet clear if the café will be a short-lived novelty, or if the rise in popularity of other snack food mash-ups like freakshakes (milkshakes stacked with sweets, ice cream, and doughnuts) will make it a success, one thing is clear.
You don't have to be stoned to get the munchies.
