Lazy foodies rejoice, you now have more options than ever for getting your restaurant-quality meal delivered to your door.
UberEATS launched in Sydney today and promises to pick up meals from more than 100 of the city’s favourite restaurants including Three Blue Ducks, Sake and Fratelli Fresh.
Working in a similar way to rival service Deliveroo, Uber has partnered with local eateries that don’t normally deliver, to offer customers a take-away option that doesn’t involve them leaving their home or office.
Sydney-siders got a taste of the idea when Uber offered ice-cream deliveries earlier this month.
The new service was rolled out in Melbourne in April, with Sydney being only the sixth city outside of the United States to join the app.
At this stage, Uber drivers will only deliver to the inner Sydney suburbs around Bondi, Surry Hills, Newtown and Pyrmont and charge a flat rate of $5.
